The Orchard Project
Our Mission:
The Orchard Project is a philanthropic initiative led by Old Town employees who are passionate about giving back—both locally and globally. Our team meets regularly to identify ways we can strengthen our communities and invest in meaningful causes. The Orchard Project’s budget is proudly supported by Old Town, with a portion of every home built going to fund this endeavor, with 60% dedicated to local projects and 40% to global impact efforts.
Local Impact
Creating Homes and Hope
In partnership with Family Hope Inc., the Orchard Project maintains a home on 136th Street that provides housing for families facing homelessness. This partnership helps single mothers and their children stay together in a safe, stable environment while participating in programs that empower them toward independence. Our volunteers help maintain the home—cleaning, painting, and caring for the property between residents.
Supporting Education
Each year, we award four scholarships to students pursuing degrees in construction-related fields—investing in the next generation of builders and innovators.
Serving Our Community
We believe in showing up where help is needed most. From volunteering with the Million Meal Movement to pack meals for local food banks, to supporting the Carmel Fire Department’s holiday gift drive for children in need, our team is committed to acts of service all year long.
Dream Home Showplace

Our reach extends far beyond our own neighborhoods. Through partnerships with trusted organizations, the Orchard Project helps fund and support housing, education, and community-building efforts around the world.
- New Story (Mexico) – Supporting the construction of safe, sustainable homes.
- Esperanza (Costa Rica) – Funding home and school building initiatives that strengthen communities.
- Faith in Deeds (India) – Providing resources for a Children’s Home serving orphaned youth.
- Homes for Hope (Mexico) – Supporting hands-on building and furnishing projects led by Old Town team members.
