The Old Town Process

Your townhome home journey starts with an introduction to your New Home Consultant, who will work with you on selecting your floor plan and guide you through the initial design process. We’ll provide you with a cost estimate based on your selections, and if you’re ready to move forward, we’ll work on final design and pricing. We’ll then begin the construction of your townhome, all the while keeping you informed and involved in every step of the process. At Old Town Design Group, we’re committed to making your townhome home building experience stress-free and enjoyable.

Step 1:

Floor Plan Selection

Old Town offers a unique townhome building experience, unlike any other, and allows you to be involved from the very beginning of the project. In this way your building journey closely resembles our curated collection home building process.

You have the option to choose from any of our available floor plans and interior design “vignettes” before the foundation is ever poured. This level of customization is unparalleled in townhome construction and provides you with an opportunity to make it truly your own.

Step 2:

Fit & Finish

We understand that every client is unique, which is why we provide a personalized design experience that caters to your specific needs and desires. If you start your new townhome journey before the foundation is poured, you’ll have the option to select your countertops, cabinets and flooring from our expertly curated design studio. Additionally, you’ll visit the design studios of our preferred vendors to select your light and plumbing fixtures along with your appliances.

During the design selection process, your designer will work closely with you to understand your style, preferences, and budget. With access to a wide range of high-quality materials, finishes, and fixtures, you’ll have the flexibility to customize key aspects of your townhome, ensuring that it truly reflects your individual taste and personality.

Step 3:

The Build

With all of the details of your final plans in hand, we create a project timeline and start construction on your townhome. Our interactive project management system, BuilderTrend, empowers you to be informed throughout the build process, keeps your construction timeline on track and stores all your building documents in one place. Regular communication with your Core Team keeps you up-to-date on the progress of your new home and allows you to ask questions whenever they come to mind.
